Lisbon – March 2024. His Majesty’s Hon Consul General of the Kingdom of Tonga to Portugal, Mr Anthony Bailey, paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Anita Tršić Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Portuguese Republic since December 2019.
The meeting took place at the Croatian Embassy in Lisbon and discussions were held as to how to enhance cooperation between both countries.
Tongan Hon Consul General Anthony Bailey has a long association with Croatia dating back to 1988 and has advised numerous bodies aimed at promoting relations with Croatia. Mr Bailey also studied at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies at University College London which included Croatian history and politics. The Consul General last visited Croatia in 2024.
