Nuku’alofa – 18 December 2025. His Majesty King Tupou VI has appointed Lord Fakafanua as the 20th Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga. The Royal Warrant of Appointment was presented in accordance of during a private audience held at the Royal Palace in Nuku’alofa on 18 December 2025.
The Royal Warrant of Appointment was proclaimed in accordance with Clause 50A (1) of the Constitution of Tonga.
