Tongan Hon Consul General joins Lisbon Mayor and Kosovo President at unveiling of statue of Saint Mother Teresa - Consulate General of the Kingdom of Tonga in Portugal His Majesty’s Hon Consul General of the Kingdom of Tonga to Portugal, Mr Anthony Bailey, accepting an invitation from the Mayor of City of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas visited the site of a new statue of  Saint Mother Teresa which was unveiled by Her Excellency Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, President of the Republic of Kosovo, during an working visit to Portugal.

Tongan Hon Consul General Anthony Bailey has a long association Kosovo in the field of inter-religious relations and humanitarian assistance. He has visited Kosovo on numerous occasions and spoke at international conferences promoting peace and reconciliation.

In recognition of his inter-religious services he was awarded the Mother Teresa Humanitarian Medal by Her Excellency Atifete Jahjaga, President of the Republic of Kosovo, in 2015.
