Lisbon – May 2024. At the invitation of the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, the Hon Consul General of His Majesty The King of Tonga to the Portuguese Republic, Mr Anthony Bailey, attended a Mayoral launch event at City Hall, promoting the cultural and religious festivals and events to be held in the Portuguese capital.
Attended by leading global Portuguese and international singers the Hon Consul General had pleasure to speak to world renowned multi-award winner Fado singer Mariza as well as Tony Carreira and highlighted the importance of song and singing in the Kingdom of Tonga today.
Lisbon every day grows as a leading culture and musical capital of Europe and Saint Anthony’s celebrations is still its centrepiece
