HRH Princess Angelika Lātūfuipeka of Tonga awarded prestigious Server et Manere award

Canberra – October 2023. Her Royal Highness Princess Angelika Lātūfuipeka Halaevalu Mata’aho Napua-o-kalani Lavaka ‘Ata Tuku’aho received at the Tongan High Commission in Australia, Dr Marek Sobola, Secretary-General of the non governmental organisation, Servare et Manere.

During the audience Dr Sobola presented to Her Royal Highness one of the association’s highest awards and thereby becoming the laureate of the Memorial Medal of Tree of Peace in a Special class with rubies. The Medal was awarded to the Princess for her exceptional merits in the field of uniting nations as well as for promoting peace and spreading environmental awareness.

Mr Curtis Tu’ihalangingie, Acting High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Tonga to Australia was among those in attendance on Her Royal Highness. Dr Sobola briefed Her Royal Highness on the activities of Servare et Manere in Oceania and especially in the Kingdom of Tonga, where the association has both partners and several recorded activities.

Princess Lātūfuipeka is the daughter of His Majesty Tupou VI, King of Tonga and between 2012 and 2023 served as High Commissioner of Tonga to Australia.

Servare et Manere is a Slovak non-governmental and nonprofit association founded on 31 March 2010. The organization is registered by the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic under №: VVS/1-900/90-35334 and in 2022 was granted Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC – the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
