Consular Services
The Honorary Consulate-General offers limited consular service support to the public and assistance to citizens of the Kingdom of Tonga who are living or visiting of its consular jurisdiction in Portugal.
The Tongan diplomatic mission in Portugal reports to the High Commission / Embassy of the Kingdom of Tonga in London, United Kingdom who should be contacted on all matters relating to consular matters including visas.
For all general enquiries, non-emergency matters or should you wish to seek an appointment for consular service or assistance, we advise to call or email your inquiry before visiting the High Commission or the Consulate General.

Her Excellency The Hon Mrs Titilupe Fanetupouvava’u Tu’ivakano was accredited as High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Tonga to the Court of St James’s on 28 May 2018. The High Commissioner concurrently serves as non-resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Tonga to the Kingdom of The Netherlands and to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Mr Viliami Fonongaloa Lolohea serves as First Secretary of the High Commission in London.

Mr Anthony Bailey was accredited as His Majesty’s Honorary Consul General of the Kingdom of Tonga to the Portuguese Republic on 3 November 2022. He has consular jurisdiction for the entire continental territory of Portugal and additionally the two Portuguese Autonomous Regions of Azores and Madeira situated in the North Atlantic Sea.

For Citizens of The Kingdom of Tonga only who are living or visiting Portugal and require emergency/urgent consular assistance, including after office hours help (e.g. cases of accidents, arrest, repatriation, severe illnesses, natural disasters, etc.), please call the Duty Officer at (+ 351) 21 923 0303.
