Nuku’alofa – July 2024. The Hon Consul General of Tonga to Portugal Anthony Bailey visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tonga at St. George Government Building. and held a meetings with ministry officials.
Mr Bailey presented his report on the activities as Tonga Consulate-General to Portugal to the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Hu’akavameiliku Siaosi Sovaleni and discussed opportunities to further enhance cooperation between both countries and internationally through CPLP – the Community of Portuguese Language Countries. Mr Bailey also met with the Chief Secretary and Secretary to the Cabinet Mr Paula Pouvalu Ma’u and the Secretary of Foreign Affairs Leonaitasi Luluni and the Tongan Permanent Representative of Tonga to the United Nations and Tongan Ambassador to the USA, HE Viliami Va’inga Tone. Mr Bailey also called on the officials of the Protocol Division of Foreign Affairs.
During his visit to Tonga Mr Bailey visited the Palace Office which is responsible to the all matters pertaining to the Tongan Sovereigns and Constitutional Monarchy.
