Lisbon – October 2023. The Hon Consul General of the Kingdom of Tonga in Portugal, Mr Anthony Bailey, paid a formal courtesy call on Dr Alberto Laplaine Guimarais, Secretary-General of the City of Lisbon and Diplomatic Counsellor of the Mayor of the City of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas.
This mayoralty is considered one of the most important public offices in Portugal’s politics and the is the largest municipality in the country and Portugal’s capital city.
The meeting followed my discussion with the Mayor at the Royal Wedding of the Duchess of Coimbra held Mafra at the Royal Palace of Mafra together with his wife Céline Dora Judith Abecassis.
