With a global reputation for excellence, it plays a leading role in supporting the arts, education, science, social innovation, sustainability and international cooperation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>During the meeting, Administrator Guilherme d\u2019Oliveira Martins and the Consul-General held very positive and substantive discussions, with a particular focus on areas of mutual interest, including climate change, environmental resilience and the protection of the world\u2019s oceans. The Foundation expressed its strong willingness to explore future avenues of cooperation with the Kingdom of Tonga, especially now that the Tongan Consulate-General has been formally established in Portugal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Administrator Martins acknowledged Tonga\u2019s recognised international voice on issues relating to rising sea levels, ocean governance and climate vulnerability.
